Bust Out, And Meet Your Neighbors!
The storm will have passed,
And the sun come out…
All are welcome!
Here’s a rough rundown of jobs we’re hoping to complete, or at least take a large bite out of
around the park:
Community Gardens Priorities:
- Compost pile disbursement (move the pile of compost to community gardens)
- Wood chip spreading (help cover the community garden paths and muddy spots around the park – especially under benches – with chips)
- CPfH cleanup (pull large, woody, or non-organic material out for chipping)
Brains Not Brawn Jobs:
- Inventory park features for needed repairs (benches especially. Also electrical outlet doors on the stage). Make a list of all repairs needed, and where.
- Begin mosquito control project (put out containers with dunks, empty all water collection areas in community garden)
Special Skills Jobs (Meet Janet!):
• Prune fruit trees in garden (see Janet for details)
• Fill sinkhole in Ionettis’ plot (see Janet for guidance)
• Inventory plants along fence for what can be moved, and when (see Janet for details)
Digging Jobs:
- Fix popped-up plastic path at wheelchair spot (see Janet for instructions)
- Fix erosion at rain garden inlet (see Janet for instructions)
Easy/Kid-Friendly Jobs:
- Trash pickup all around park
- Watch kids for parents who are doing physical work
